A demonstration, held by Joint Readiness Training Center role players, took place in the fictional country of Gorgas April 11, 2016. Soldiers with 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and 35th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion had to react appropriately by staying calm and contact local authorities (role players) to assist in quelling the demonstration. Scenarios like the demonstration are meant to challenge Soldiers and test their operating procedures and equipment systems. The demonstration is one of many scenarios the Bastogne brigade will face throughout rotation 16-06. In the coming days, Soldiers will conduct a joint force entry and force-on-force exercises in order to obtain key training objectives. (U.S. Army photos by Sgt.
