After logging close to 35 miles over 36 miles with a 35 lb. ruck sack, a Cadet with the University of Delware's Reserve Officer Training Corps lays down to rest on the plain during the second day of the 2016 Sandhurst competition at the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., April 9, 2016. The competition originated in 1967 as a friendly match of skill and endurance between West Point's Corps of Cadets and their counterparts at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom. Overall the competition has expanded in both size and difficulty. What started as a 2-team competition in 1967 has expanded to 60 teams from 13 different countries.
