Maj. Garret Dover, left, and Maj. Ethan Sabin walk off the flight line at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, after a test flight of the F-35A in order to evaluate the aircraft's integration and performance on close air support missions. Six operational test and evaluation F-35s and more than 85 Airmen from the 31st Test and Evaluation Squadron, stationed at Edwards Air Force Base, conducted the first simulated deployment test of the F-35A, specifically to execute three key initial operational capability mission sets: suppression of enemy air defenses, close air support and air interdiction.
