A crowd of several hundred Soldiers, friends, family members and dignitaries, stand and applaud as Sgt. 1st Class Mark A. Wanner of Company B, 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group is awarded the Silver Star Medal during a Feb. 6 award ceremony at the Ohio statehouse. Wanner is the first Ohio National Guardmember to be awarded the Silver Star Medal since the Korean War.
