    Cpl. Ernesto J. Roman removes trash from a drain March 22 during an environmental beautification activity project in Ginowan, Okinawa, Japan. The project serves to strengthen the relationship between Marines and Okinawa residents by fostering positive community involvement that benefits the environment. During the cleanup, Marines partnered up and removed trash from the streets surrounding the Ginowan convention area. More than 70 Marines participated in the event. Roman is an aircraft reserve and fire fighters specialist with Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting, Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Marine Corps Installations Pacific and a Carpentersville, Illinois, native.
