Capt. Brian D. Phillips (left), Capt. Marcus F. Youngquist and Capt. Gabriel Chavarria, all C-17 Globemaster III pilots assigned to the 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, park a C-17 at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, Feb. 1. The C-17 is equipped with two heads-up displays allowing pilots to fly their planned approach with their heads up, looking out of the cockpit by superimposing the necessary cues on their outside field of view.
