Belgium is one of the key training partners of Iraqi Security Forces at Iraqi Army-run training facilities in Baghdad, Iraq. In addition, Belgium has been a robust aerial combat mission partner in Iraq and Syria, contributing strikes from F-16s and cargo airlift from C-130 aircraft. Belgium is part of a Coalition of more than 60 international partners that has united to assist and support the Iraqi Security Forces to degrade and defeat Daesh. This unity between coalition partners has contributed to Iraq’s significant progress in halting Daesh's momentum and in some places reversing it.
