PEARL HARBOR (March 22, 2016) U.S. Pacific Fleet Sailor of the Year finalists Navy Diver 1st Class Kristoffer Ilagan and Navy Diver 1st Class Alberto Alejo pose for a photo aboard the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor March 22, 2016. Both Sailors were born in Isabela, Philippines, and moved to California when they were six and joined the Navy the same year. However, the two never met until coming to Hawaii for the Sailor of the Year competition. Ilagan and Alejo along with 12 other finalists are participating in a variety of personal and professional evaluations as well as leadership, naval heritage and team-building events throughout the week around historic Pearl Harbor.
