A U.S. Army soldier in ACU (Army Combat Uniform) is administering first aid or conducting a combat casualty care exercise on another soldier who is lying on the ground. The standing soldier, whose name tape reads 'VALENTIC', is applying what appears to be a bandage or dressing to the downed soldier, whose name tape reads 'BLACK'. This appears to be a training exercise based on the controlled environment and visible unit patches.

Kyrstie Valentino, a combat medic with Company C, 526th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), applies a field dressing to a wounded Soldier during a "Strike Blitz," Jan. 21. This form of intense training better prepares Soldiers for situations similar to ones seen in theater.
