BANGOR, Wash. (March 16, 2016) - Cmdr. Kelly Laing, commanding officer of the Blue crew of the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Maine (SSBN 741), from Idaho Falls, Idaho, is welcomed home to Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor by his family following a routine strategic deterrent patrol. Maine is one of eight ballistic-missile submarines stationed at the base providing the most survivable leg of the strategic deterrence triad for the United States.
