160310-N-KB426-114POHANG, REPUBLIC OF KOREA (Mar. 10, 2016) –An Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) attached to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), arrives on shore after departing amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Ashland is assigned to the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group (BHRESG) and is participating in Ssang Yong 16 a biennial combined amphibious exercise designed to strengthen interoperability and working relationships across a wide range of military operations from disaster relief to complex expeditionary operations.
