Canadian Forces Brig. Gen. Alain Pelletier, deputy commander Continental United States NORAD Region (CONR), receives and orientation flight on an F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet accompanied by Lt. Col. Ian Toogood, commander of the 169th Aerospace Control Alert Squadron, during his visit to the South Carolina Air National Guard's 169th Fighter Wing at McEntire Joint National Guard Station, March 1, 2016. During his visit, Pelletier spoke to wing leadership about its homeland defense mission and the relationship it has with the NORAD air component as it is tasked through CONR to ensure North American airspace control.
