Lt. Col. Joel Deboer, 560th Flying Training Squadron commander, and Paul Granger, former B-52 Stratofortress pilot, takes off in a T-38 Talon at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, March 3, 2016. The 560th FTS flew Granger around San Antonio as part of the Freedom Flyer Reunion, an annual celebration recognizing the service of Air Force Prisoners of War during the Vietnam War. On Dec. 20, 1972, Granger was shot down near Hanoi in North Vietnam while he was on a combat mission in support of Operation Linebacker II.
