A military humanitarian aid operation is underway in a tropical location, with large military helicopters delivering supplies to a field distribution point. Stacks of bottled water and cardboard boxes labeled 'MRE SF' (Meals Ready to Eat) are piled on the grass, while uniformed personnel coordinate the unloading and distribution. The setting features palm trees and lush vegetation, consistent with a tropical region.

Marines with Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, stage Meals-Ready-To-Eat rations, water and purification tablets from a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 461 (Reinforced) in Leogane, Haiti, Jan. 22, 2010. The 22nd MEU deployed from Camp Lejeune, N.C., aboard the ships of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, Jan. 15, 2010, to help with the relief effort, Operation Unified Response. The MEU has continually run supply missions, delivering tens of thousands of pounds of food and water, to remote areas in Haiti. (Official Marine Corps Photo by Lance Cpl. Christopher M. Carroll)
