160302-N-ZZ999-173 YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 2, 2016) Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Jack Chen, from San Francisco, Calif., attaches a hose to a hydraulic valve of an aircraft elevator in the hangar bay of the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan is equipped with four aircraft elevators used to transport aircraft from the hangar bay to the flight deck. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
