The image shows a street sign intersection at a military installation, displaying 'SGT Bryan McDonough Ave' on the main horizontal sign and 'MSG Scott Carney St' on the perpendicular sign above it. The signs are mounted on a metal pole in what appears to be a military base environment, with concrete barriers and a Red Cross symbol visible in the background. The streets appear to be named in honor of fallen military personnel.

Sgt. Bryan T. McDonough Ave., on which both the Contingency Operating Base Basra, Iraq, fire station and Troop Medical Clinic are located, is named for a Maplewood, Minn. native who died Dec. 2, 2006 from injuries suffered in Al Anbar province, Iraq. One essential reason for the installation of street signs is to help first responders arrive quickly in case of an emergency on COB Basra.
