This rock formation near the eastern base of Hinkey Summit in Humboldt County, Nev., shows where the only Medal of Honor approved for action inside Nevada’s borders probably occurred. After all these years, the official citation still reads "Arizona," not Nevada and the answer to whether or not the recipient ever received the medal remains a mystery.
