Capt. Edward Rogers II, a pilot with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261, holds his child after returning from a half-year deployment with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Africa during the unit’s homecoming event at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Feb. 13, 2016. VMM-261 participated in a host of multi-national exercises during the deployment, including the Allied Maritime Basing Initiative and Tactical Leadership Program Flying Course, while on standby as a crisis response force.
