U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Mario Parzino greets members of the Royal Thai military Feb. 5, 2016, in Pattaya, Thailand. Parzino is the executive officer of Battalion Landing Team 1 Battalion 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit arrived in Thailand to participate in the 35th iteration of Cobra Gold. Cobra Gold provides a venue for both United States and all partner nations to increase capability and interoperability in planning and executing complex and realistic, combined task force operations.
