Staff Sgt. Jesus Contreras, from El Paso, Texas, operates MK2 Talon during a joint-training exercise between III Marine Expeditionary Force Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive Ordnance Disposal units at the Central Training Area, Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 29, 2016. The Talon is a remotely controlled robot used in environments deemed to hazardous for humans. The exercise enhances unit cohesion between the two units for further training, real-world instances and to keep the Asia-Pacific region safe from explosive ordnance and CBRN threats.
