    20th CBRNE Command

    First Area Medical Laboratory receives the Army Superior Unit Award for their actions during Operation United Assistance in Liberia from October 2014 to March 2015. The 1st Area Medical Laboratory was part of Task Force Scientist, testing Ebola samples at six mobile laboratories and providing same day results to health care provides. The 1st Area Medical Laboratory is the Army's only deployable medical laboratory with a mission to analyze and validate health hazards to protect the force and provide theater-level validation.
