160129-N-YD641-045 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Jan. 29, 2016) Hull Technician 3rd Class Jacole Lee, from Lakeland, Fla., welds a joint in a metal bar in the welding shop aboard the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The Machinery Shop performs the various repair and refitting work, such as fabricating and repairing parts needed to maintain the ship. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
