160109-N-MC656-056 MUSCAT, Oman (Jan. 09, 2016) Marines, attached to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), hike during a Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) tour in Oman. Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 26 MEU, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
