Before Staff Sgt. Paul Tackett, from Lakewood, Wash., decided to put together a plan to revamp the 1161st Transportation Company common area, it was just an empty gravel yard with a small overcrowded smoking area. It now has a large gazebo with benches, a volleyball court and a horseshoe pit. The 1161st TC is under the care of the 541st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 96th Sustainment Brigade, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary).
