Soldiers from Special Troops Battalion, 1st Sustainment Command (Theater), collect food donations in front of Harris Teeter in Fayetteville, N.C., Dec. 9 during the Heart of Carolina Food Drive. The Heart of Carolina Food Drive, sponsored by ABC 11 Eyewitness News, brings together hundreds of local businesses, schools, clubs and individuals to raise food and funds for the nearly 650,000 children, parents, and grandparents who are food insecure and struggle to access nutritious and adequate amounts of food necessary for an active and healthy life in North Carolina.
