    II Marine Expeditionary Force

A heavy equipment operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, 2nd Marine Logistics Group constructs a five-foot tank ditch with a Medium Crawler Tractor at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Dec. 8, 2015. A tank ditch’s purpose is to expose the bottom of the tank where it is the weakest, which provides an opening to neutralize the tank. The operators within the unit prepare for future operations by conducting training parallel to what they would be doing in a deployed environment. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Luke J.
