Recruits of Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, cross the monkey bars obstacle during the Confidence Course event at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Nov. 23. Recruits were expected to practice discipline by pushing their bodies through every obstacle. Today, all males recruited from west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 29.
