For the first time in CAA history, the host country, Colombia, produced a medal that Maj. Gen. Alberto Mejia, Colombian army commander, presented to participants during the Commanders Conference of the American Armies Nov. 20, 2015, in Tolemaida, Colombia. The CAA was founded in 1960 and is a military organization of 20 member armies from the American continents.
