A Coast Guard member is seen firing a Sig Sauer P229R DAK pistol at an indoor range located on Joint Base Cape Cod, Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015. Members are required to complete two timed and scored courses before being authorized to carry the pistol in the line of duty. The basic pistol course consists of several rounds of fire that are scored based on the shooters accuracy. When shooters pass the basic course they then move on to the practical pistol course.
