Christopher Morton, museum curator and exhibit creator explains the significance of a Soviet ZPU-4 Anti-aircraft gun on display to Col. Maureen Murphy, director of staff for the New York Air National Guard, during the opening of the museum’s newest exhibit “Ever Upward” at the NYS Military Museum, here Nov. 20. The ZPU-4 was used by Iraq in the Persian Gulf War in 1991 and presented to the 174th Tactical Fighter Wing by U.S. Marines for providing air cover to ground troops during the war. Several photographs and artifacts are on display to highlight the story of the 5,600 member New York Air National Guard. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Maj. Corine Lombardo/Released)
