Petty Officer 2nd Class Peter Hearn, a boatswain's mate and Petty Officer 2nd Class Elliott Felix, a maritime enforcement specialist and dog handler, both assigned to Maritime Safety and Security Team 91101 in Seattle, watch as Felix's partner, Luna, a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois explosives detection canine, sits to indicate the presence of a training aid during an explosives detection training at the University of Washington in Seattle Nov. 17, 2015. During the scenario-based training, which was a multi-agency effort to ensure statewide emergency preparedness, an explosives detection training aid was placed in Hearn's pocket to help canines like Luna and their handlers practice detecting moving explosives located in and under clothing.
