151107-N-ZZ999-043 RED SEA (Nov. 7, 2015) Aviation Structural Mechanic Airman Kevin Hampshire, from Kearneysville, W.Va., attached to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28, the “Dragon Whales,” paints the bare metal of an SH-60S Seahawk on the hangar bay aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
