Cdt. 1st Sgt. Katheryn Nolen, a junior at Texas A&M University from Kingwood, Texas, hangs during the flexed-arm hang event of the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge at Spence Park, Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, Nov. 8, 2015. The cadets got the opportunity to earn the GAFB as a result of an exchange program the college has with Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg, Germany. This year, Texas A&M is host to two German Army officers who oversaw the test and made it possible for cadets and active duty soldiers in the local area to earn the coveted GAFB.
