NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Nov. 4, 2015) - Machinist's Mate 1st Class Matthew Kuznieski, assigned to Pre-commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), observes the number one aircraft elevator during a 200,000 pound maximum weight simulation to test durability and readiness of the elevator. Ford is currently under construction at Huntington Ingalls Newport News Shipyard and is scheduled for delivery in spring 2016.
