151029-N-GR718-013 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 29, 2015) Amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) participates in a strait transit with amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49), and a Canadian Navy ship off the coast of Southern California during a joint operability exercise. Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), composed of New Orleans, Boxer, Harpers Ferry, and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is conducting a Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) to test their ability to effectively respond to scenario driven events and perform as an integrated unit in preparation for deployment.
