Maj. Edward Arntson (top center), operations officer, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, welcomes Central Texas civic and business leaders Saturday to the brigade’s tactical operations center at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Calif. Maj. Gen. Michael Bills, commanding general, 1st Cav. Div. and Command Sgt. Maj. Andrew Barteky, senior enlisted leader, 1st Cav. Div., escorted 17 leaders from the Central Texas region from Oct. 16 – 18 to observe Fort Hood Soldiers in action and to learn more about how NTC contributes to Army readiness.
