U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Michael Needham, a simulated downed air crewmember, prepares to shoot a flare during a search and rescue training exercise on Oct. 27, 2015 in the Northern Arabian Gulf. The training was conducted with personnel from the 185th TAB and the 97th Transportation Detachment with the intent to evaluate responses to a downed aircrew during an overwater mission in the North Arabian Gulf.
