Two military helicopters are hovering low over a desert airstrip, appearing to be in the process of taking off or landing. The foreground helicopter is a light-colored attack helicopter, likely an AH-1Z Viper, while the background helicopter appears to be a darker UH-1Y Venom utility helicopter. The setting is an arid, desert environment consistent with a forward operating base.

A UH-1Y Huey helicopter and AH-1W Cobra attack helicopter with Marine Light/Attack Helicopter Squadron 367 take off on one of the first flights for the new Huey here. The first UH-1Y Huey arrived here Oct. 23 and made its first combat flight Nov. 4. The "Yankee" model brings more speed, lifting capacity and loiter time, which will ultimately offer HMLA-367 more options to support the Marines on the ground.
