Volunteers from the 16th Sustainment Brigade read to a first grade class Oct. 22 at Smith Elementary School as part of Jumpstart’s “Read for the Record,” an annual campaign designed to support early learning by reading the same book to students across the world on the same day and, in the process, breaking the previous year’s record. Knight’s Brigade Soldiers volunteered to read and also learned more about ways to get involved with the school and community. (U.S. Army photo by 1st Lt.
