The New York Army National Guard's Connecticut Street Armory, located on the west side of Buffalo, N.Y. was the largest in the world when it was completed in 1899. On Oct. 22, the building was one of four inducted into the Sandstone Hall of Fame by the Medina (N.Y.) Sandstone Society. The society picks buildings constructed of the local building material to commemorate each year.
