Petty Officer 3rd Class Ryan Sparks, builder, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 133, allows Petty Officer 3rd Class Jonathan Cox, utilitiesman, to demonstrate the proper technique for applying a choke in front of the students during martial arts training at Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport. Sparks is the first Seabee to attain the Martial Arts Instructor Trainer Black Belt First Degree Red Tab from the Marine Corps Martial Arts Center of Excellence in Quantico, Va.
