Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) conduct a live fire training exercise on Fort A.P. Hill, Va., October 21, 2015. The Soldiers of the Old Guard rotate between conducting ceremonial missions, training for ceremonial mission, and staying proficient in their infantry skills. Once secured the infantry squad then treated a wounded Soldier before extracting them from the area. The Soldiers were critiqued on their execution of mission and their deployment of infantry tactics, techniques ,and procedures. (U.S. Army Photos by Cpl. Cody W. Torkelson)
