Private 1st Class Alfredo Mendoza, an automatic rifleman with Attack Company 1-503rd Infantry Regiment (Abne), 173rd Airborne Brigade, Italy, feels the effect of the chemical after coming out of the gas chamber during a training exercise in Latvia, Oct. 21, 2015, in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. OAR provides U.S. Soldiers the opportunity to work with and train alongside our NATO allies, forge relationships that foster trust and mutual understanding, strengthen interoperability, and demonstrate the United States’ commitment to the NATO Alliance.
