The image shows two vessels on open ocean waters under overcast skies. A larger commercial fishing trawler with outrigger booms and a mast is accompanied by a smaller orange rigid inflatable boat (RIB), suggesting a possible inspection, assistance, or boarding operation. The scene appears to be taking place in moderately calm but grey sea conditions.

A boarding team in a small boat from the Coast Guard Cutter Midgett, a 378-foot High Endurance Cutter homeported in Seattle, sits off the fishing vessel Bambi while conducting inspections during a patrol off the coasts of Washington and Oregon, Oct. 18, 2015. As of Oct. 15, 2015, vessels boarded at sea that have not received the now mandatory dockside examination receive a warning and are required to get the exam within 30 days by contacting their local fishing vessel examiner at port.
