Staff Sgt. Daniel Gordon, 37th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, marshals a B1-B Lancer as it taxis on a Southwest Asia runway in preparation for take off on a combat mission in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Nov. 11, 2009. Carrying the largest payload of both guided and unguided weapons in the Air Force inventory, the multi-mission B-1 is the backbone of America's long range bomber force. The B-1 is deployed from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., in support of operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
