A photo on display at the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse shows what the Control/Radio Room looked like in 1986 – in the background John White looks at some of the memorabilia on display, Sept. 9, 2015. After his tour aboard the Chincoteague, White was transferred to Annapolis, where, after a year, he moved up to Petty Officer 2nd class and was assigned to be the officer-in-charge of the lighthouse.
