    22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit

    U.S. Marine Sgt. Maj. Roger Griffith, the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) sergeant major, talks to a Marine from the security element platoon from 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, Oct. 9, 2015, between relays of a live-fire qualification shoot, during the security element course held at the Expeditionary Operations Training Group (EOTG) compound at Stone Bay, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. When the 22nd MEU composites in December, 1st Bn, 6th Marines, is slated to become the Ground Combat Element (GCE) of the 22nd MEU. The security element course is an EOTG-led training regimen, which gives infantry Marines the additional skills and mindset to serve as a security cordon force during actions conducted by Special Operations Forces (SOF).
