U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Korey R. Newman demonstrates room clearing techniques at Baengnyeongdo Military Operations on Urban Terrain Facility, Republic of Korea, Sept. 10, 2015. U.S. Marines taught urban operations to the ROK Marines and executed multiple drills as integrated fireteams during the training. The exercise was part of Korean Marine Exchange Program 15-13, a bilateral training exercise that enhances the ROK and U.S. alliance, promotes stability on the Korean Peninsula, and strengthens ROK and U.S. military capabilities. Newman, from Brooklyn, New York, is the 2nd Squad leader for 2nd Platoon, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
