Staff Sergeant Craig Wayman performs first aid on a simulated casualty as part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division Non-commissioned Officer and Soldier of the Year competition Nov. 6 on Forward Operating Base Warrior, Kirkuk, Iraq. Soldiers were also evaluated on their ability to treat and evacuate a casualty, use communications equipment, show their knowledge of automatic weapons and answer questions in front of a board of senior non-commissioned officers.
