ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 5, 2015) U.S. Marine Cpl. Jake Warden looks at his targets during a deck shoot aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). Warden is a member of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force. These Marines execute deck shoots frequently to sustain their speed and accuracy on ship. The 15th MEU, embarked aboard the ships of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
